Giappone 1603: tra le luci calde e rosse del tramonto un giovane guerriero (in realtà un principe) scappa con il suo fedele cavallo, ma quattro samurai lo inseguono ed alla fine riescono a bloccarlo dopo un duello di spade. Il principe viene portato a palazzo dove litiga con il padre, Lord Norinaga, per l’ingiusta guerra da lui iniziata. In quel momento entra in scena un losco individuo, Walker, con tutti i suoi scagnozzi ed offre a Lord Norinaga armi da fuoco per vincere la guerra; intanto il principe trova una strana pergamena con disegnate quattro tartarughe chiamate “Kappa†ed un misterioso scettro....
